Eclipse Animator Keyboard Shortcut Search
Play / Pause Timeline Playback
Press Space to toggle 120 FPS playback scrub. Scrub head resets to in-point on second tap.
Insert Keyframe on Selected Joint
Instantly records transform channels (Position & Orientation) for highlighted bone selection.
Toggle Graph Editor & Bezier Curves
Opens sub-frame curve editor. Manipulate left and right Bezier handles to adjust physics weight.
Switch Inverse Kinematics (IK) & Forward Kinematics (FK)
Toggles Fabrik multi-joint IK solver. Drag feet and hands; limbs resolve anatomically with pole vectors.
Toggle Onion Skinning Ghost Poses
Projects semi-transparent ghost frames 2 steps before and after playhead for spacing analysis.
Add Animation Layer (Additive / Override)
Creates a non-destructive layer. Keep run cycle on Layer 0 and animate sword slashes on Layer 1.
Pose Paste Flipped (Mirror Symmetrical Walk Cycles)
Inverts left and right motor transforms across the Sagittal plane for quick walk & run looping.
Toggle Viewport Camera Track for Cutscenes
Enables camera keyframing. Animate cinematic FOV zoom, camera roll, and focus tracking in real time.
Bone Hierarchy & Weight Paint HUD
Inspects Motor6D tree hierarchy and bone constraints for R15, R6, and skinned character meshes.
Frame Step Backward / Forward
Nudge playhead by exactly one sub-frame step for frame-by-frame impact timing.
Jump to Previous / Next Keyframe
Snaps the playhead directly between existing keyframe markers on the selected joint.
Launch Studio HUD Dockable Workspace
Toggles Eclipse Animator's dockable dark-mode timeline window inside Roblox Studio ribbon.
No matching shortcuts found. Try searching for "keyframe", "curve", "IK", or "layer".
Rig Insertion & Studio Setup (R15 / R6)
Open any Roblox Studio place. Use Studio's default Rig Builder in the Avatar tab to spawn an R15 Block, Man, or Woman rig. Select the rig in the workspace, click the Eclipse Animator icon on your Plugins ribbon (or press Ctrl + E). Eclipse will initialize the Motor6D hierarchy and display joint handles in cyan.
Non-Destructive Animation Layers (Additive vs Override)
Press Alt + L to open the Layer Manager. Name Layer 0 "Base_RunCycle" and animate your character running forward. Create Layer 1 set to Additive for holding a flashlight or Override for upper-body sword swinging. This prevents having to animate separate walking and attack files.
Graph Editor Bezier Easing for Impact & Recoil
Select any joint and press G to toggle the visual Graph Editor. Instead of choosing generic Quad or Bounce presets, drag the left Bezier handle down for anticipation and pull the right tangent handle vertically for an explosive snap on weapon hitboxes.
Fast Walk Cycles with Fabrik IK & Pose Flipping
Press Tab to activate Inverse Kinematics mode. Drag the character's LeftFoot to the ground contact point; the knee automatically respects the pole angle. At frame 12, copy the pose and press Alt + M to paste flipped. Your walk cycle is half-done in two keyframes.
Cinematic Viewport Camera Tracks & Script Export
Press C to add a Camera track directly to your timeline. Fly your Studio camera into position and press K to record angle, position, and FOV. When satisfied, click Export in the top menu to generate both a KeyframeSequence and a modern CurveAnimation for in-game cutscenes.
